The breakfast is highly recommended. The staff is always attentive and helpful. The location is central with free parking. .
One has to know that due to its age and construction the hotel does not have an elevator.

I thought the staff were friendly and upbeat, and they've obviously put in a lot of work to reopen after the floods. Breakfast was excellent.
I think a little bit of money could be spent on sprucing up the facilities in the rooms, which are a bit worn.

Drinks at the hotel were very expensive compared to other places in the town which meant that we drank elseware.

The hotel is in an incredible and stunning location, just a minute's walk from Cockermouth Castle. It is conveniently close to pubs and a restaurant. The recently renovated rooms are pet-friendly and have awesome beds, a large bathroom, and coffee available.

The hotel is small and intimate and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was an excellent choice and the food was fresh. Quiet and relaxing hotel.

Conveniently situated in the town and near the church if you are visiting Cockermouth for a wedding as we were. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has no car park but there is a good sized loading bay with plenty of parking nearby. I managed to leave my car unlocked and unattended for 48 hours without incident which says something about the town.

Convenient location! This place is right in the middle, close to the Blocks restaurant and a leisure center. What's more, you can easily visit Wordsworth House and Garden nearby. 🏞️

The house has character and charisma. Very friendly staff, have got an extra room for free. Double beds are French beds and narrow.

Easy check in, easy to park outside (until 8.00 am) and relaxing bar, Evening meal was fine and staff coped well with a fair few tables including a raucous but not unpleasant table of youngsters. Great breakfast
Couldn't work the shower, rooms a little tired, bit expensive for hwat it was (aimed at Lake District tourists, not backpackers)
